If I had all the time in the world, I would spend so much time on my makeup every morning, but let’s be real, I don’t. Most days I have about 10 minutes to do my makeup and guess what? I have finally mastered the art of everyday, on the go, quick, and easy makeup. Trust me it’s one of the best talents you can have. So I thought I’d share my everyday makeup bag and tips!
Foundation: L’oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation
Apply Foundation: Beautyblender
I have oily skin, especially in my t-zone, so I love matte foundations. I especially love that this foundation is oil-free! If you have oily skin, you need oil-free foundations otherwise the oil in the foundation will make you oilier! This foundation is medium to full coverage (buildable), which is a must for me. My skin is actually really nice, I just have a lot of uneven skin color. For me, I’m more comfortable with more coverage. With a beautyblender, it’s easy to build up the coverage. I definitely recommend using a beautyblender with this foundation. The foundation doesn’t go on the best with your fingers so it’s a lot quicker and easier to use a beautyblender and it looks better with the beauty blender!
Setting Powder: NYX Studio Finishing Powder – Translucent Finish
Setting Powder Brush: Real Techniques Powder Brush
Like I mentioned, I have oily skin. A setting powder is a necessity for me. I prefer a translucent powder because I’m already getting enough coverage with my foundation. I really like the NYX Studio Finishing Powder. They have it in a pressed form, which I prefer because it doesn’t get everywhere, but just my luck, they’re always out so I’m stuck with the loose powder. I put this only on my T-zone with a big fluffy brush. I love the Real Techniques brush, especially for the loose powder.
Blush: MAC Blushbaby
Contour: MAC Blunt
For a quick and easy everyday blush and contour, I love using my MAC Blushbaby and MAC Blunt. They blend really well which is great for when I’m in a hurry because I don’t have to think about it much. I’ll quickly dust on my blush with my blush brush from my BH Cosmetics Sculpt and Blend Brush Set, then use the angled flat top brush to quickly “sculpt” my contour.
Eye Shadow Base: NYX Eye Shadow Base
Eye Shadow: Nars Eyeshadow Duo in Bellissima
Eye Brush: Morphe M433 Blending Brush
Eye Brush: Morphe M441 Blending Brush
Some days I only have time to throw on mascara, but if I have an extra 2 minutes I will do my eye shadow as well. I really like this NYX eye shadow base. It helps keep everything in place for a while. The Nars Eyeshadow Duos are great for on the go. I especially like this one in Bellissima. I will put the champagne with gold glitter all over my lid using my Morphe M433 brush. Then I’ll apply the matte brown in my crease and corner with my Morphe M441 brush. For mascara, I’m really loving the Maybelline Colossal Chaotic Lash Mascara. I’ve heard people say it clumps on them, but I take my time and thoroughly brush it through my lashes and it looks great! It gives the look of big lashes, which I love.
Lip Liner: NYX Lip Pencil in Nude
For an everyday lip, I enjoy the NYX lip pencil in Nude and the Pixi lipstick in rose naturelle. I’ll switch it up day to day, but this lip goes with everything, so I wear it the most. The NYX lip pencils are my favorite for a long lasting lip. This Pixi lipstick goes on smooth and doesn’t dry out my lips.
